A retro eurasian chick

The birth of "Viva" was not straight forward. Using the last of our beautiful European Pine wood inventory with Asian Chengal, we built the carcass with no clarity on the end goal. Inspiration led us to craft four drawers in tropical Nyatoh wood using finger jointing method before deciding to craft an exposed full extension drawer system, known as "Kulissenführung" in German (which is a parallel slotted linked sliding system). Made using Maple and Chengal woods for durability, it is an extremely stable system even at maximum drawer reach. We also love the design element it brings to the drawer! Finally, we added ceramic knobs from ZARA Home (Bolzano, Italy) with a pair of Nyatoh retro legs to complete her look.
